Kapria loves pink. She's always called it "pinklish" (no, we haven't read the book Pinkalicious, but I will need to read her that soon). So when I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday this year, she said, "I want a pinklish party!"
Trav was such a good sport to help me turn our living room into a pink wonderland for the big day. So here's part one of our party: Decorations and Food.
I pulled out every pink stuffed animal, doll, toy, and frame we have to use for the decorations. Then I searched through my bookshelves and found all the red and pink books to put on the shelf. I switched out all our photos to show pictures of Kapria. (This was by far her favorite part. She loved seeing so many pictures of herself. But Mila kept thinking the little ones were of her. They had a few arguments over that.) I used wrapping paper to cover the mantle and the magnet board and wrapped a few books to keep things pink. It was a lot of work, but definitely worth the happy results. Everything was pretty much free or inexpensive, aside from the balloons and flowers.

LOVE it!! and 'pinklish' that is just too cute!
Sooo cute! What an adorable idea. I like that you got all the red and pink book bindings from around the house, as well as wrapping some things in paper. Nice!
So fun! What a fun mom you are to create such a great "pinklish" party!
